The goal of The Iwama Shin Shin Aiki Shuren Kai. Is to protect and promote the Aikido of the founder Morihei Ueshiba. Many Schools and organisations teach Aikido around the world. These group were often set up by either the students of the founder or by others invariable these teachers have blended their own ideas, philosophies and martial training with aikido to make their own kind of Aikido. The purpose of our group is to protect the legacy of the founder Morihei Ueshiba, by preserving and spreading Aikido as he taught it here in Iwama. You may not realise it but Iwama was where the founder of Aikido lived during and after WWII up until his death in 1969. Iwama is a kind of Mecca for aikido students all over the world and many foreign practitioners of aikido travel thousands of miles and spend thousands of dollars to come and train in Iwama. If during you time living in Japan you would like to experience an authentic Japanese martial art. Why not come and enrol in the Dojo in Iwama. Aikido is not as physically demanding as Judo or karate, you will not be smashed into the floor or kicked in the stomach or face. People train at their own pace. You will also get a chance to meet and make friends people from all over the world The dojo has training sessions from 7pm to 8pm (except mondays) and on sundays practice is from 9am to 11am. Training everyday is not compulsuory you pay a monthly fee and and train as often as you like. If you think this sounds interesting and would like more information or have some questions. Please leave a comment on the page and someone from our admin team will get back to you as soon as possible. Dojo Training times Tuesday - Saturday - 7pm-8pm Sundays - 9am -11am Attachments:
